Crocus sativus :

The Saffron Crocus

Crocus sativus is a large Mediterranean crocus with alleged geographical origins in Greece.

Its beautiful autumn blooming is very attractive to pollinating insects, and has a pleasant, spicy, musky, and sweet scent, reminiscent of Rose and Freesia.

Growing Crocus sativus is as easy as growing Spring Crocuses, but it requires some skills to keep it healthy and make it bloom each year...
